StoryDrive Asia

The Singapore Book Publishers Association and Frankfurt Book Fair are jointly organising the 2017 StoryDrive Asia conference on 13-14 November, at the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore.

The two-day conference is aimed at authors - published and unpublished - publishers, marketing managers, editors, rights and license managers, and service providers. It will cover topics such as copyright and licensing, e-production, sales, new marketing strategies and trends, international business, new technologies, future ways of storytelling like virtual reality and augmented reality, and cross-media sales.

StoryDrive Asia 2017 is a chance for participants to meet the key players in the publishing and media businesses in the region, to update themselves on the latest insights, changes and transformations in the publishing industry, and to learn about exciting developments and opportunities in fast-moving, fast-growing book markets across Asia.

Aside from business matching and pitching sessions for authors and illustrators, StoryDrive Asia offers training modules in structuring and presenting proposals, rights sales, new digital workflows, and turning your books into screenplays.

The organisers promise the conference is all about being inspired while learning new ways to sell your content and discovering cross-media business opportunities in Southeast Asia. They say that from creating to processing, adapting, marketing and selling, participants will have the chance to listen to and network with an inspiring selection of experts from across regional publishing industries.

You can register here. There is an early bird discount if you book before 16 October.
